Beginning September 9th
During the 9:15 Service
Sunday school is offered for children ages 3 years old through 4th grade.
Rotation Sunday School Model: Children will meet in their classrooms at 9:15 and will rotate to the opening with their class for a large group gathering time. They will learn Bible stories, songs, and life lessons through skits, special visitors, and music. The classes will be led to their rotation activity for the week to continue with the central theme. The children will participate in Bible workshops, science experiments, cooking stations, and games as well as view and discuss movies, create crafts, and learn new songs. This is a very active and energetic Sunday school program that finds creative ways to teach children God's Word.
GRAPPLE for 5th and 6th grade
A new curriculum is being offered for this age group to meet their social/emotional needs and challenge their
spiritual growth. I am very excited about this new program from Group Publishing. It is very user friendly, poses
tough questions for the kids to discuss, and even has an internet component for the kids to gather together electronically
during the week to work through their take home questions. This will surely be a class kids won't want
to miss!
During the 10:45 Service
Sunday school is offered for children ages 3 years old through 4th grade.
Children in Worship: Children will meet in church with their families and be dismissed during the service to the back of the church where their teachers will greet them and escort them to their classrooms. Parents will pick up their children in their classrooms at the conclusion of the worship service. The Children in Worship program is a traditional program with a consistent schedule each week that includes, a circle time, prayer, scripture reading, and a Bible story. The program uses painted wooden figures to act out different stories from the Bible. With the progression of each year, the children learn the same Bible stories with increased content and details. Communion is served on the 1st Sunday of the month. The children all love this program and eagerly await their opportunity to retell the stories with their own words using the figures.
5th and 6th grade will attend worship with their families during this worship hour.
Additional Opportunities for 5th and 6th Grade
J.A.M. (Jesus and Me)
The Jesus and Me Fellowship will meet on Sunday evenings 2 times a month. Join the group for fun, games, food, fellowship and occasional field trips!
Trailblazers
A new mid-week program is available for 5th and 6th graders on Wednesday nights. This program is a small group that works together on Bible studies, challenging social questions, Bible memorizations, community projects, and personal relationship building with God. Come check it out!
